the magpies

‘The bracken made their bed’ -  the ferns made their bed.
‘Toms hand was strong to the plough’ - Tom was a good worker and cared for the crops he grew.
‘But all the beautiful crops soon went to the mortgage man’ - the crops that they worked so hard to grow


‘Old Toms gone light in the head” - He probably has dementia

‘The farms still there mortgage corporations couldn't give it away - because the magpies attacked everyone who tried to buy it.
